When it comes to keeping the heat in your house in winter, a straightforward problem which is often overlooked is finding something practical yet pleasing to the eye to cover your home’s windows (which surprisingly leak out so much heat). While often picked purely for their decorative quality, simple home improvement catalogue favorites such as thick good quality curtains and (for the more contemporary type) venetian or roller blinds can actually help you save money on your heating bills. Combine them with draft excluders and good quality insulation in your loft and other areas of the home today and not only can you do your bit for the environment, you can pocket a few extra pennies too!

We also recomend heavy or insulated window coverings to alot of homeowners when we go out to do a
Home Energy Audit. If you think about the turn of the century, that is all that they had and it worked. They did’nt have new insulated widows, but they still kept warm. Visit our Site for more information on what we see vs what you see.
